PRICES AND INFORMATION
Semi permanent makeup (SPMU/PMU) is a long lasting alternative to traditional makeup. “Pigment” is placed just underneath the skin to create a range of looks for brows, eyeliner & lip colour.
Microblading is a form of semi permanent makeup, where pigment is placed, hair stroke by hairstroke into the upper layers of skin. Powder brows are a fuller look, but still natural and soft when healed.
Together we design and create a look, which is tailored to just for you. The process when carried out by a skilled professional is comfortable, and most clients return for a refresh of colour at around 18-24 months.
Beautiful semi permanent looks can created with eyeliner and lip colour being just as comfortable and popular as eyebrows.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR MICROBLADING, POWDER BROWS OR PERMANENT MAKEUP SESSION
Before your treatment, we will undertake a consultation.
We will talk about your brows and skin, your medical history and what you would like to achieve from your session, your likes and dislikes.
This can be done over the phone, face to face or on the same day as your treatment. Most clients opt for the same day session.
Your brows, lips or liner will be measured, and drawn in with traditional cosmetics.
This is the template that we use to create your look. You'll get EXACTLY what you want.
With Microblading and Powder styles we respect natural hair, and do not need to remove it for the treatment, although we may groom them, and remove any stray or fluffy hairs during during this step.
We do this process together to ensure you get just what you want - Once we are both happy with the design and have chosen a colour, we can start your treatment.
Simple aftercare is explained, and you will be given information and specialist balms to prevent scabbing to take away.
There will be no redness, and no extreme darkness.
You may have some very mild redness immediately after your treatment (similar to a brow wax) - this is normal and to be expected and will diminish quickly.
You will see from a lot of the "before and afters" in my portfolio that this is very mild in most cases. If you follow the aftercare, you should ahve no scabbing
Lips and eyes maybe slightly puffy.... but not swollen.

Your pigment will settle and heal over the days and weeks, we will schedule a retouch appointment before you leave for around 6-12 weeks.
MICROBLADING, POWDER BROWS & PERMANENT MAKEUP FAQ'S
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING or SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?
This varies from person to person and a colour refresh is recommended on average from 12-24 months after your initial microblading procedure. Powder or ombre styles tend to last slightly longer than hairstroke/microbalding styles. This does vary depending on age and skin type. A colour refresh is about half of the original cost depending on when you choose to refersh your colour.
DO I NEED A PATCH TEST BEFORE MICROBLADING or SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Our pigments contain no PPD (which is what causes common skin reactions if you have ever had a reaction to hair dye or tint). All our pigments are incredibly high quality, non reactive, and hypoallergenic. A patch test can be arranged by post or in person should you wish, but our insurance company do not require one.
HOW LONG IS RECOVERY OR HEALING TIME?
Our specialist aftercare regime ensure you will have no scabbing or redness after your microblading or permanent makeup. You do not have to hide from the world until you are healed. Many clients can walk right out the door, ready to show off their new brows, eyeliner or lips. Initially a little stronger in colour, your new microblading or semi permanent makeup will soften to a natural looking and beautiful colour in a few days. You will be given an aftercare balm to apply regularly.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE A COLOUR?
We choose a colour together by discussing your wishes, and sometimes by applying small amounts of different coloured pigments to the skin near to your brows and selecting the best match for your skin tone, features and personal preference. Alice has a full range of colours suitable for all skin tones and hair colours.
WHAT TYPES OF MICROBLADING or SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP PIGMENTS DO YOU USE?
Li Pigments & Everlasting Brows Pigments, considered to be the best in the industry. Cosmetics and medical tattooing have been proven to be safe. Many medical professionals, who perform their own tattooing, use the same pigments that we use. People have been placing colour in their skins for a very long time and through the years a generally accepted list of colour additives, which are expected to perform well, and have proven to be safe.
CAN I HAVE MY BROWS MICROBLADED IF IM PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
No you cannot have this treatment done, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
DOES IT HURT AFTERWARDS?
The area can be a little bit tender for the first few hours, but this should be very mild.
WHAT IF I DONT LIKE MY EYEBROWS AFTER MICROBLADING?
Although the procedure is considered semi-permanent make up, these procedures do have flexibility in changing colour and shape to some extent. Colours will appear much darker immediately following the procedure but will often soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and remember it takes time to adjust to a new look! Microblading has the advantage over other techniques of semi permanent make up, in that it is designed to last 12-18 months and fade naturally.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DO?
The procedure is split into 2 appointments, which are 6- 12 weeks apart to allow for the healing process to complete. The initial procedure will take around 2 hours, and your second appointment takes from 30 minutes to an hour.
DOES MICROBLADING or SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP HURT?
You should be very very comfortable during your session. A lot of Alices clients actually fall asleep during their session. Alices light handed techniques and numbing agents mean that you needn't worry about being uncomfortable. WHEN WILL I SEE THE FINAL RESULTS OF MY MICROBLADED BROWS?
Your brows will look wonderful right out of the appointment!. You will see your final results after the healing process is fully completed, usually in two to three weeks once the colour has settled. A touch up appointment at 6-12 weeks is important to refresh any areas which didnt “take’ properly, or to make small amendments your shape if desired.
WILL MY BROW HAIR NEED TO BE REMOVED BEFORE MICROBLADING?
No, Microblading or semi permanent makeup does not require removal of your natuaral brow hair - it looks even more natural when real hair is present. It is suitable wheter you have hair or have total loss through alopecia. As part of the session your brow hair will be groomed to give you a nicely defined result.
WHAT WILL THEY LOOK LIKE AFTER THE MICROBLADING or SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP PROCEDURE?
Your brow area may be a little pink afterwards - similar to having them waxed or threaded. Sometimes the anesthetic can make the skin appear pale as it restricts blood flow while its working. This is all very normal. This is unlikely to be noticeable - we have lots of people get on public transport or go to work right after their treatment. They may be a little bit darker in colour for the first week, before they begin to fade out to a softer colour.
WILL THEY FADE?
Your body’s skin changes over time and so will any permanent makeup coloration implanted in to the skins layers. Generally Microbladed brows last 12-24 mths before they need refreshing depending on your skin type, tone and how you look after your pigment. Touch ups are easily done to keep your brows looking good. Some skin types may require retouches more often, and some may need less often.
WILL MY MICROBLADED EYEBROWS LOOK FAKE?
NO! Semi-Permanent microblading is done using a cosmetic tattooing process and our eyebrow pigmentation unique artistry guarantees soft, natural looking eyebrows. When we implant semi-permanent makeup pigment in the skin, it appears more natural looking than eye brow pencil or powders. The best brows are those that no-one can tell have been enhanced - and this is what we aim for.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO MICROBLADING?
During the procedure there may be some minor redness. This will depend on the client. If a person is taking blood thinners on a daily basis, then some slight bleeding may occur. Bruising is very rare but if a person is on blood thinners, then bruising could occur. There is sometimes some tenderness for a few days.
