WHAT IS IT FOR? & HOW DOES IT WORK?
Plasma – is an ionised gas created by a special device. Think of it as a teeny tiny, skin tightening lightning bolt.
After numbing the skin with creams, we place tiny little dots around the area you want to tighten, working with your skins problem area – this is only in the eipdermis causing it to retract. The skin is left with little dots (carbon crusts) which fall away in a few days.
The elasticity of the skin is improved, and a distinctive tightening is made possible.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR SESSION
To ensure your comfort a local anaesthetic cream can be applied before commencing the procedure, which may feel prickly on the skin - although most people feel nothing.
It is important that you arrive to your appointment without makeup on the area you are having treated. If you are having areas treated around your eyes, lash extensions and strip lashes must be removed 24 hrs before (we can not treat you if you arrive with these) and if you wear contact lenses please bring your case and glasses with you as you can not wear contact lenses during the session.
Before your treatment, we will undertake a consultation. We will talk about your skin, your medical history and what you would like to achieve from
your session. This can be done over the phone, face to face or on the same day as your treatment.
Once your skin has been numbed, plasma energy will be applied to your skin. This takes just a few minutes for small areas. This will temporarily leave small dots "carbon crusts" on your skin.
Simple aftercare is explained, and you will be given information to take away. Aftercare includes avoiding bright sunlight, and being extra careful with the application of SPF in the weeks after your session.
Dots/carbon crusts fall away over 5-7 days (up to 3 weeks on the body areas like the arms or stomach). You may experience some minor, managable swelling or puffiness which is normal and should be expected.

Plasma is the forth state of matter. A plasma arc is achieved by the device by giving molecules in the air extra energy. The tiny sparks created, cause micro trauma to the skin. The healing process of these traumas, heals the skin from the inside, creating more collagen and elastin and tightening the skin. This tightens the skin, and reduces lines and wrinkles.
The results from fibroblast treatments are incredibly long lasting – so long lasting they are considered to be permanent. Of course the skin does continue to age after your treatment, but visible results can be seen on average for around three years depending on your genetics and lifestyle choices.
If we are treating an area like the vertical mouth lines/smokers lines, the action of you continuing to smoke may speed up the process of wrinkles returning, more than someone who does not smoke – but results will still be very long lasting.
