Before your session, you need to avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, & omega 3 supplements, for 48 hours, this is as they can thin the blood, and increase the likelihood of bleeding, which can mean colour retention is not so good.
Please avoid caffeine and heavy workouts for 12 hours prior, for the same reason.
A patch test is NOT required, although we can provide one for your at your request.
AHA/Glycolic/Retin A preparations should not be used for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Chemical/Laser treatment should not be performed 6 weeks prior to treatment.
Many clients like to visit with freshly washed hair, so that they do not need to worry so much about getting their new brows or make up wet for a few days. This is not essential but can make life easier during the first few days of aftercare.
There is no need to wax, tweeze or thread your brows before your visit, as I will do this for you as part of the shaping process.
If you do wish to tweeze or wax please do so at least 48 hours before.
Botox or fillers should not be performed 4 weeks before or after your treatment (please seek advice from me if this applies to you)
Please wear your normal brow make up (if you wear it) to your session.
We will discuss how you wear your brows, and what look you would like to achieve.
You can also look at the different styles at the link below....
Please arrive with "naked" lashes - do not wear mascara or eyeliner to your session.
If you wear contact lenses please bring something to store your lenses in and glasses to drive home, as you will not be able to wear these again on the day of the treatment or for a few days during the healing process
Strip lashes or individual lashes must be removed by you at least 48 hours prior to treatment - your appointment can not go ahead if you arrive with these in-place.
If you have used lash enhancing serums within the last 3 months it is essential to let us know before your treatment.
Please give your lips some TLC for a few days before hand. Hydrated lips retain pigment better - so please use lots of lip balm or vaseline to prepare the skin for your treatment.
You can use a toothbrush to gently brush your lips to help remove any dry skin, and moisturise well. This will improve the outcome of your colour. If your lips are too dry or cracked you will not be able to have treatment.
Lip treatment will not give you coldsores if you do not already carry the virus, but it is very likely to trigger an outbreak if you do. You may carry the virus even if you have never had an outbreak.
It is strongly advisable to all, to take a short course of antiviral medication (Aciclovir oral tablets).
This is ESSENTIAL if you are a coldsore sufferer. These can be easily obtained on prescription from your GP, or from many UK registered online pharmacies that provide a prescription service.
Lip fillers should not be performed 4 weeks before or after your treatment
Please take a look at the aftercare advice. I will cover this in more detail at your session.
You wll be provided with complimentary aftercare.
