About Monica Ivani and Li Pigments

Launched in 2019, the Monica Ivani Signature Series by Li Pigments was developed through a close collaboration between international permanent makeup master Monica Ivani and US pigment manufacturer Li Pigments (established 1992).

After extensive research and testing, they created a professional brow pigment range that heals true-to-colour on all skin types and tones. The result is a compact, high-performance collection that’s trusted worldwide by PMU artists, designed to be simple, safe, and consistent.

Why Artists Love Monica Ivani PMU Pigments

Pre-Mixed and Ready to Use

Each bottle arrives pre-mixed, pre-modified and ready to implant, saving time and removing the guesswork from colour mixing — perfect for both seasoned PMU professionals and beginners.

Inorganic, Mineral-Based Formula

These inorganic, mineral-based pigments fade gradually and evenly, producing soft, natural transitions over time. Their forgiving formulation makes them ideal for PMU training academies and new artists learning implantation depth and pigment saturation.

Creamy Consistency for All Techniques

The creamy texture allows for seamless use in microblading, machine hairstrokes, powder brows, and shading. The consistency ensures smooth implantation and even healed results across every permanent makeup technique.

Laser-Safe and Correction-Friendly

While permanent makeup pigments are designed to fade naturally, some clients may later need laser removal to correct or adjust older work. The Li Pigments formulation breaks down cleanly under laser, leaving no harsh reds or yellows — a huge advantage for responsible artists who prioritise safe correction work.

True-to-Colour Healing

Monica Ivani pigments are renowned for their stability. Each shade heals true to its intended tone, ensuring predictable, natural-looking brows without unwanted greying or redness.

Flexible for Custom Mixing

Although pre-mixed, these pigments are easy to customise using other Li Pigments modifiers:

  • To darken, we love to add a touch of Li Onyx.
  • To warm we love to add (for mature or ruddy skin), blend in Li Grey Vanish.
  • To thin for softer results or for easer use on small cartridge sizes, use Li Soft FX.

This versatility gives artists complete creative control while keeping the formula stable and safe.

The Four Signature Brow Pigments

Electric Blonde

A soft, neutral-cool blonde ideal for fair clients, redheads, and light hair tones. Heals to a natural, ashy-blonde finish.

Faux Brown

A balanced light-to-medium brown suited for dark blondes and light brunettes. Universally flattering and easy to mix.

Absolute Brown

A true medium brown with neutral undertones, perfect for classic brunette clients and versatile across most skin types.

Dark Heart

The deepest, coolest tone in the series — a rich dark brown pigment ideal for dark brunettes or those seeking bold definition.

These four shades provide complete coverage for any client without requiring an oversized pigment kit — one of the reasons this Monica Ivani pigment range UK has become so popular.

Choosing the Right Pigment for Each Client

Selecting the correct brow pigment goes beyond hair colour. Consider undertone, age and skin type:

  • Fair or red-toned skin: Electric Blonde for soft definition.
  • Olive or neutral tones: Faux Brown or Absolute Brown for balanced warmth.
  • Deep or cool skin: Dark Heart for striking contrast.

With the accompanying Monica Ivani colour guide, artists can quickly match the perfect shade for predictable healed results.
